Name: Zeke Dryle. (Pron: zeek drill)

Real Age: 76.

Physical Age: 17.

Gender: Male.

Species: Perentie Goanna. (Varanus Giganteus or Giant Monitor)

Ace Appearance: Zeke is 5' 7.5" tall and 150 lbs (171cm. and 68kg.), with a lean, wiry frame, making him much heavier than he appears. His hair is a mixture of black and sandy hues with various other earthy tones in regards to his perentie coloring. The strands are cut at about ear length and gradually shorten toward the back, kept in messy spikes due to the greasy, rather dirty texture of it. His skin is a natural pale yellow, tanned to a darker, golden shade from long exposure to the sun, and is just as grease ridden as his hair due to his severe lack of and avoidance to hygiene. His eyes are a deep, blood red, appearing almost brown in color at a distance, and with slitted pupils. His Ace outfit consists of a camouflaged, muscle-tank and khaki-cargo pants with thick, black boots. He also sometimes wears handmade bracelets and necklaces: the kind with rough cords and shells. Overall, he is built for survival in harsh situations, having lived recklessly and often times dangerously a great portion of his life. He doesn’t appear incredibly well built, due in large part to excessive exercising in the past which had actually begun to break down his body at one point, but that’s a common misperception. He is now mainly compact, hard muscle with tough, calloused skin marked by various, jagged scars across his torso and a bit down the back of one of his thighs. His face is perhaps the only thing remotely soft about him, still in the process of maturing although usually set in a defiant glare. For markings he has a black smudge under each eye as well as thick, black nails, kept sharp. His teeth are also rather unusual, being somewhat pointed almost to the extent of looking filed although it’s not as noticeable from farther away.

At 5' long, his animal body is actually quite small for a male of his species (they can grow between 6 and 8 feet), something he's very self-conscious about and tries to make up for by being overly aggressive. His skin also has slightly wider black-markings, making him appear darker, and is also littered with scars as is typical for his species. He is lean and swift, running easily both on four legs and occasionally two, and he has a slender arrow shaped face. His claws and teeth are exceptionally sharp, as they are with all his kind, leaving serious wounds upon those unlucky enough to be snagged. His tail, as well, functions both as a whip and a third leg used to aid him in standing upright. In this form he is also adept at climbing over rocks, trees, and desert terrain, his natural environment, as well as being able to swim fairly well in contradiction to his Ace form. Aside from being venomous, his saliva also contains dangerous and harmful bacteria in this form.

Personality: Overall, Zeke is pretty much just a perentie. A very wild, highly aggressive male of his species, but still every bit a perentie; that being a large, dangerous, predatory lizard. As such he doesn’t coexist or respond well to others at all, being naturally inclined to avoid people although due to something of an inferiority complex he spends more time trying to dominate them than anything else. Think of an overly pumped adolescent trying to dominate those within his territory and thus become “king” of it. Unfortunately for all, he is exceptionally violent, being somewhat ruthless and cruel in his methods most of the time. He also has much difficulty relating to humans or even other Aces and pretty much anything that doesn’t fit in his limited, rather twisted view of the world is automatically ignored and shoved to the side.

Due to these sorts of characteristics, he often appears out of control and more than a little mentally challenged. And to an extent, this is correct. He is defiant to a fault, and has difficulty controlling himself and exercising restraint in most situations, which can make him very difficult to manage and occasionally unpredictable. He also doesn’t pick up on new ideas or concepts too easily, regarding most attempts at teaching or learning as worthless human activities, and thus isn’t too bright academically speaking. However, aside from this there are moments he can manage to focus and act surprisingly reasonable, however rare they may be, and his survival know-how makes up for his mental limitations greatly. He has a knack for getting into trouble, and causing a great deal of it for others, but no matter the case or the punishment it doesn’t seem to phase him or learn him any better in the slightest. If anything, it only seems to make him more confident upon knowing what to expect from his environment and those in it.

Habit-wise, Zeke has an almost redundant tendency to hiss, mimicking his animal form surprisingly well. Running his tongue over his teeth is another odd habit, and despite his aversion to being open about himself he tends to wear his emotions out on his sleeves, being highly expressive through facial and body language, although he seems completely unaware of it most of the time. He also has a strong, Australian accent, albeit a somewhat less sophisticated sounding one as his vocabulary is rather lacking and he isn’t used to conversing by any means other than swearing.

There aren’t many things that truly scare him, although he is unnerved quite a lot it isn’t really enough to do much more than put him on edge. The only thing he has a great fear of, aside from the concept of death, is water. He will avoid large bodies of water at all costs, although the phobia has also caused a great dislike for anything wet aside from rain, which he actually enjoys in small quantities, and relishes for drinking. In reverse, he has an intense fascination with fire and things that cause explosions. As for dislikes there are quite a lot as most creatures and people get on his nerves, but particularly dogs, cattle, pets, and humans are high up on his list of hated things. The only things he likes aside from fire are fighting, food, some females, and the sound of his own voice. The last of which being tied to a bizarre habit of talking to himself when in private, although the conversations seem to carry on mentally when others are present.

In respects to talent, Zeke really isn’t skilled in much more than living; or, in other words, he is skilled only in areas deemed necessary for survival. And the way the lizard is that mostly means he knows how to hunt, fight, and generally use his environment to his advantage. He also tends to heal and recover from injuries fairly well, which could be considered a good thing as he also tends to put himself in dangerous situations; although some would argue that it would be best for him to suffer the brute effect of his actions thoroughly. Overall, though, when not affected by some form of wound or other he is fairly healthy, having a naturally high immune system and seemingly robust structure. The only contradiction to this is occasional headaches and an exceptionally patchy memory, but otherwise he appears fine.

History: Zeke was born in Australia and spent his early life in the bush where he was constantly running from predators and scavenging for food before being captured for a wildlife exhibit. He spent little more than a year of life there before earning his Ace, escaping the exhibit with the help of the local servant and then given to the guardian assigned to him, an Ace of American Alligators named Agor. The older reptile put up with his violent pupil enough to teach him the basics despite the other's violent disposition, which often led the boy into trouble and resulted in serious injuries quite frequently and resulted in many scars. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in trying to civilize the unruly boy, which is why he kept him away from human society most of the time. For everyone’s safety. He did his best to try and vent the boy’s aggression through various methods, one of the more successful ways being to actually allow him to fight with the much larger man. This proved an effective way to not only calm him down, but also as a means of teaching the otherwise impossible lizard, training him in an attempt to focus his mind long enough to drill certain messages into his head. However, even this didn’t last forever, as the years went by Zeke became more rebellious and independent, causing various other difficulties and complications for the two Aces to deal with. Still, Agor refused to give up on the young Ace, bailing him out of whatever trouble he was in until one such event lead to his death at the hands of poachers. Now, Zeke has been transferred to Poseidon Academy for a temporary stay until a new guardian can be found to cope with him, but also to further learn to deal with his life as an Ace in the human world.
